THOR : RAGNAROK

We used our Satellite Lab moving light technology to shoot Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson and many winged horses, suspended in time for Taika Waititi's Thor Ragnarok.

EXPERIMENTAL INSTALLATION WORK

By Carlo Van de Roer. Playing with the changeability of a moment frozen in time.
Captured in 1/60th of a second, in-camera using light sources moving eight times the speed of sound.
In a physical space, your position in front of the frozen image changes the position of a moving light source within the image.

Philosophy

Using our FrameLight tech, every frame of video was exposed with strobe on an 8k Red camera, so client could pull any frame as a crisp, perfectly exposed 35MP still.
